Episode Six, “Stormy Weather,” is a bottle episode in more ways than one. The Discovery becomes trapped in a subspace void created by the DMA. Even though Captain Burnham must find a way to escape the rift before it collapses in on itself, disintegrating everyone caught inside. Michael has to fight the growing despair growing as every effort to find a way out results in failure.
As always, we’ll summarize the plot of the episode and share our observations. Following all of that, we’ll provide an overview of recent Star Trek news.
