Star Trek: Picard S3, E5 – “Imposters”

“Imposters” begins on the bridge of the Titan with a scene that shows operations slowly returning to normal after repairs. After escaping the attack from the Shrike and returning to Federation space, Picard and Riker prepare to face the music for their actions. Star Trek: Picard S3, E4 – “No Win Scenario”

The Titan is dead in space. The ship is slowly being pulled towards the center of the nebula. The severity of the situation is painted starkly when Riker discovers their best option is to divert all remaining power to life support to purchase four more hours before the entire crew meets certain death. “No Win Scenario” delves deeper into the characters as we explore the real dangers they face. The drama shifts from the crew fearing an external threats – Vadic and the Changeling spy – to an internal one – their own lack of faith and trust in one another. Star Trek: Picard S3, E3 – “Seventeen Seconds”

For the most part, the acting in “Seventeen Seconds” is strong. Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart and Gates McFadden, all deliver powerful performances. We’re given some two-person scenes where the theme of regret is highlighted. This episode has the responsibility of giving us answers to questions raised by this season’s story.
