In “Ad Astra Per Aspera,” the Enterprise’s First Officer, Commander Una Chin-Riley, finally has her day in court as she faces a court-martial, the possibility of 20 years in prison for sedition, and a dishonorable dismissal from Starfleet. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2, E1 – “The Broken Circle”

In “The Broken Circle” Pike leaves Spock in command of the Enterprise while he goes off to secure legal representation for First Officer Una. However, Spock still struggles with controlling his emotion and fears it will impair his judgment. But when they receive a distress call from La’An on a planet near Klingon space, he throws caution to the wind and takes the crew into danger, potentially risking restarting war with the Klingons.
