Star Trek: Discovery Rewind – Season Three

In Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery, Michael and the crew of the USS Discovery travel 930 years into the future, and the 3188 they encounter is not what they expected. The Federation is in a much-weakened state. A catastrophic event known as “The Burn” has eliminated nearly all of the dilithium supply. The loss of the critical resource for faster-than-light travel has crippled interstellar travel and plunged the galaxy into chaos. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2, E1 – “The Broken Circle”

In “The Broken Circle” Pike leaves Spock in command of the Enterprise while he goes off to secure legal representation for First Officer Una. However, Spock still struggles with controlling his emotion and fears it will impair his judgment. But when they receive a distress call from La’An on a planet near Klingon space, he throws caution to the wind and takes the crew into danger, potentially risking restarting war with the Klingons.
