In Season 4 of Star Trek: Discovery, the crew faces a powerful cosmic threat causing catastrophic destruction across the galaxy known as the Dark Matter Anomaly or the DMA. This phenomenon destroys Kwejian, Book’s home planet, taking his family, culture, and hope from him.
