With the help of a few listeners we came to a consensus and narrow it down to ten favorites with one honorable mention. What were your Top Ten episodes of Star Trek in 2022?

Hey everyone! I’ve said it before, we got a lot of Star Trek last year. From the second half of DISCOVERY’s Season Four, to PICARD Season Two, STRANGE NEW WORLDS’ smash inaugural season, Season Three for LOWER DECKS, and the remaining two thirds of PRODIGY’s first season we saw more Star Trek than anyone has every seen in a single calendar year. Star Trek: Discovery S4, E10 – “The Galactic Barrier”

In “The Galactic Barrier” we see the Discovery embark on a critical first contact mission beyond the edge of known space. Reaching out to engage the 10-C becomes more important when its discovered that this new, more powerful DMA has repositioned itself in the Alpha Quadrant near the Earth and Ni’Var. But will their mission be seen as a peaceful attempt to connect with a stranger or will it be considered a hostile act? Also, will Captain Burnham and President Rillak be able to develop their own lines of communication as they figure the best way to lead this mission? Star Trek: Discovery S4, E6 – “Stormy Weather”

Episode Six, “Stormy Weather,” is a bottle episode in more ways than one. The Discovery becomes trapped in a subspace void created by the DMA. Even though Captain Burnham must find a way to escape the rift before it collapses in on itself, disintegrating everyone caught inside. Michael has to fight the growing despair growing as every effort to find a way out results in failure.
