Star Trek: Picard S1 Ep. 9 – “Et in Arcadia, Ego – Part 1”

Today, we’re going to breakdown “Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1” the first episode of the two-part season finale for Star Trek: Picard. This episode was directed by Akiva Goldsman, who also serves as Executive Producer of Star Trek: Picard. In addition, he served in that capacity for the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. The teleplay was co-written by Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman. Waldman is an essayist as well as a New York Times best-selling novelist. Also, she is married to Michael Chabon.

For this podcast, we’ll analyze key plot elements and discuss the title’s significance. We will then focus on the character of Altan Inigo Soong and examine the ethical questions raised in the episode. We’ll then identify our favorite Easter Eggs, talk about other Star Trek news, and share our predictions for the season finale.
