“A Moral Star, Part 1,” Prodigy’s penultimate episode before the mid-season hiatus is the beginning of an exciting two-part story that could have a significant impact on how the remainder of Season One plays out. When our crew discovers a hidden message from Solum the Diviner in the replicated Drednok 2.0, they are provided with an offer they can’t refuse. Dal, Gwyn, and the others are forced to choose between turning over the Protostar to The Diviner or sentencing the imprisoned miners to pay for their refusal to do so. This episode provides the crew with an opportunity to show how their travels together have changed them.
After discussing the episode we’ll conclude with a little Star Trek news before we prepare to say goodbye to this wonderfully-rendered animated series for the next few months.
