Star Trek: Starfleet Academy “Kids These Days” & “Beta Test”

We’re back with a brand new Star Trek series!

A Starfleet Academy-based series has been discussed repeatedly over the last 60 years. Earlier versions were developed into one iteration or another, only to be dismissed. The 2009 Star Trek feature film began with the original crew as Academy cadets. There is also Season Two of Star Trek: Prodigy that was based in part at the Academy. Now, just in time for the 60th anniversary of Star Trek’s premiere, we finally have “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” a series looking at the training and development of Star Trek officials from the beginning and at a critical time in the life of the Federation. Addell and I have thoughts on this new series. Enjoy.
