“Supernova, Part 1” was a thrilling, and jam-packed beginning installment to this season’s finale. The main thrust of the story features our heroes eliminating every imaginable course of action that could help them stop the Living Construct from initiating the complete annihilation of Starfleet. Those are pretty high stakes for an animated series that was originally designed to be a young person’s introduction to the world of Star Trek.  But we’ve said this before, Prodigy’s first season story arc has performed in the same serialized narrative style as the modern live-action Star Trek series. However, “Supernova” has the potential to deliver us a fantastic Season One conclusion.
